2025 Rules & Regulations
1. General. By submitting an entry to Nashville in the Carolinas to enter singing contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest or NITC”), the entrant acknowledges and agrees to all of these Official Rules. Contest Entry Period begins Feb. 22nd. 2025 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”), and ends on April 27th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules, or the Contest itself, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by all decisions of NITC and Sponsors, whose decisions are binding and final. NITC and Sponsors reserve the right to amend these Official Rules, withdraw the transmission of the Contest and award the prize from among entries received prior to the date of the withdrawal, or to otherwise cancel the Contest without awarding a prize. No refunds will be given unless NITC cancels the event. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from this Contest.
2. Eligibility. Entrants may compete as a solo or duo act. No bands allowed. Entrants must be 13 years or older at the time of entry, if a person is between twelve (13) years old and (17) years old at the time of entry, he or she must have a parent or legal guardian enter the contest on his or her behalf, and such parent or legal guardian must be at least 18 years old or older at the time of entry. No entries will be accepted from or on behalf of an entrant under the age of twelve (13) years old.
3. Auditions. Auditions will be held in select cities, time/date/location to be announced on the website and Facebook. Applications must call or email 2 days prior to an audition and applicants will be given an audition time. Open call auditions will be based on the number of preregistered applications. Please check the website and Facebook regularly for audition dates and further information. Audition applications will be available on the website and must be completed and sent in with entry fee to: Nashville in the Carolinas, PO Box 384, Hudson, NC 28638 or via email to connectionsmt@aol.com. The $50 entry fee is non-refundable and can also be paid online via PayPal. NITC has the right to withdrawal from any specific audition location if the interest is low at which time all applicants would be informed of the canceled audition and offered a refund if no other audition is accessible to the applicant.
4. Online Entries. You may enter by completing the entry form posted online at www.connectionsnc.com and by uploading a video approximately two (2) minutes long of you singing a song of your choice and emailing it to connectionsmt@aol.com. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or corrupted are void and will not be accepted. All entries become the property of NITC and will not be acknowledged or returned. All online entries must be received before 11:59 PM ET on April 27, 2025, to be eligible. The $50 application fee must be paid via PayPal through the website or sent to PO Box 384, Hudson, NC 28638 within a week of submitting video.
5. Selection of Winner. On May 1st ,2025 the top 20 finalists will be announced online and will compete for the prize on May 17th, 2025, at 6pm. The event will be held at the Salt Block, 243 3rd Ave. NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
6. Prize. Cash prizes for the top 3 will be announced during the contest period. Winner is responsible for any income taxes associated with such prize.
7. Waiver and Release. I hereby release NITC and Sponsor and their employees from any and all claims for damages or injuries which I may sustain while travelling to and from NITC, auditions and all rounds. Entrants assume all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed to be caused by his or her participation in the Contest and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize, and releases the Sponsors, NITC, Pretty World Records and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, and employees, from any such liability.
